Venue Guidelines

Effective June 2026 — For all venue owners and operators on DropSpot

DropSpot connects people to the best nights out in their city. Venues are the heart of that experience. These guidelines exist to make sure every user who opens DropSpot gets accurate, trustworthy information — and every venue that shows up on the map earns the attention it receives.

By registering your venue on DropSpot, you agree to follow these guidelines. Violations may result in your venue being removed from the platform.

1. Accurate Venue Information

Your venue profile must reflect reality at all times.

2. Going Live — The Go Live Standard

The Go Live feature is DropSpot's core product. It tells users something real is happening at your venue right now. That trust is everything.

Only go live when something is actually happening at your venue. Going live when your venue is empty, closed, or running a pre-recorded playlist is a violation of these guidelines.

When you go live, your submission must be accurate:

Go Live expiry:

All Go Live sessions automatically expire after 6 hours. If your event ends before then, stop your live session manually via the Dashboard. Leaving a session running after your event ends misleads users.

3. Vibe Photos

4. Community Standards

DropSpot is a community platform. Venue owners are part of that community and are held to the same standards as users.

5. Venue Claims

If you are claiming an existing venue listing on DropSpot, you confirm that you are the owner or an authorised representative of that venue. False claims are a serious violation and will result in permanent account removal.

Claim disputes are reviewed by the DropSpot team. If you believe someone has falsely claimed your venue, contact us immediately at support@getdropspot.com.

6. Venue Pro Features

Venue Pro subscribers ($49/mo) unlock additional features including audience analytics, weekly discovery reports, and Slow-Night Boost. These features are subject to the same accuracy standards — boosted pins must represent venues with real, active events.

DropSpot reserves the right to suspend Boost features for venues found to be misusing Go Live or violating these guidelines.

7. Enforcement

DropSpot monitors venue activity for guideline violations. Actions we may take include:

We will always attempt to contact you before taking action where possible. If you believe an enforcement action was made in error, contact us at support@getdropspot.com.

8. Updates to These Guidelines

These guidelines may be updated as DropSpot grows. Continued use of the platform after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised guidelines. We will notify venue owners of material changes via email.
