DropSpot is a real-time nightlife GPS for London, Ontario. It shows you a live map of venues in your city, glowing based on how closely what's happening right now matches your personal taste. Open the app on a Friday night, see what's live, and head out the door.
When you complete onboarding, DropSpot builds a taste profile from your music preferences, the types of nights you enjoy, and optionally your Spotify listening history. When a venue goes live, their audio clip is analysed in real time — BPM, energy, genre — and matched against your taste profile. The closer the match, the brighter the venue glows on the map.
You can browse as a guest, but to save venues, get match scores, and receive notifications when your favourite spots go live, you'll need a free account.
Tap "Create Account" on the Auth screen and complete the short onboarding flow — it takes under 60 seconds. You can sign up with email or connect your Spotify account for a richer taste profile.
Your match score tells you how closely a venue's current vibe matches your taste profile. A high score means the music, energy, and atmosphere are aligned with what you love. A low score doesn't mean it's a bad night — just that it might not be your usual style.
DropSpot is launching in London, Ontario first. Expansion to other cities is planned based on demand. If you want DropSpot in your city, tell a friend — word of mouth is how we grow.
Tap the heart icon on any venue card or inside the venue preview sheet. Saved venues appear in your My Spots tab so you can get back to them quickly.
If you save a venue, you can opt in to receive a push notification when that venue goes live. Notifications are sent between 5pm and 2am only, and we apply smart filters to avoid spamming you — you'll only hear from venues that match your taste and haven't already notified you recently.
Go to Profile → scroll to the bottom → tap "Delete Account". This permanently removes your account and all associated data. This action cannot be undone.

On the Auth screen, tap "I own a venue" at the bottom. You can register a new venue or claim an existing listing. Once approved, your venue appears on the DropSpot map and you can go live anytime from your Dashboard.
Yes — basic venue listing is free. Venue Pro ($49/mo) unlocks audience analytics, a weekly discovery report, and Slow-Night Boost, which increases your pin's glow intensity on chosen nights.
Open your Dashboard and tap "Go Live". Upload a 15-second audio clip of what's currently playing, fill in your What's On details (event name, cover charge, special offer), and your venue starts glowing on the map for matched users. Your session automatically expires after 6 hours.
Your venue pin activates on the map and glows in real time for users whose taste profiles match your current vibe. Users who have saved your venue may receive a push notification. The stronger the match, the brighter the glow.
For non-music venues (comedy clubs, sports bars, casual pubs), matching is based on your venue category and the night type — no audio clip required. Music venues should always upload a real-time clip for the most accurate matching.
Venues with a Vibe Rating of 4.0 or above and at least 10 verified check-ins earn the Verified Venue badge. It appears on your venue pin and preview sheet, signalling to users that your venue is trusted by the community.
Contact us immediately at support@getdropspot.com with your venue name and any proof of ownership. We investigate all claim disputes and will resolve it as quickly as possible.
Go to your Dashboard → Profile tab. You can update your venue name, address, social links, and cover photos at any time. Changes take effect immediately.
We collect your email address, location (to find nearby venues — not stored server-side beyond the session), taste profile, and optionally your Spotify listening data if you connect your account. See our full Privacy Policy for details.
